5 Steps to Create a Paleo Breakfast

One area that people new to the paleo diet seem to struggle with is choosing what to eat for paleo breakfast. Since the paleo diet doesn’t permit cereals doused in milk or toast with sugar laden spreads, we have to be a little more creative in our endeavors.

Once you know how, it’s easy, you just have to think outside of the box and the usual ‘paleo breakfast‘ conditioning. Since a young age we are taught to believe that eating dinner or lunchtime foods for breakfast is odd, yet the truth is you can eat what you want for breakfast as long as it’s paleo.

Here is a list of 5 handy breakfast tips to help you create a paleo breakfast every day of the week.

 

1 .Multiply Ways To Use An Egg

Eggs taste great and are extremely versatile. You can poach them, scramble them, fry them in virgin olive oil or make a delightful omelet with tomatoes and prosciutto/bacon.

2. Leftovers From The Night Before

Why worry about making breakfast when you can get your protein by eating leftovers from the night before. In truth it doesn’t matter what you eat as long as it’s paleo goodness!

3. Meat Patties

Using ground free range turkey or ground grass-fed beef and spices of your choice, you can make delicious paleo meat patties. Basil, garlic, cayenne and thyme make for a tasty mixture. These can be frozen, whipped out and cooked when you are short of ideas and need a filling paleo breakfast.

 4. Fast Over Breakfast

Why not have a day of Intermittent Fasting, miss breakfast and wait for lunch time to swing around. Our ancestors often went without food when it was scarce, so why not replicate this process which is actually very good for you. Missing a meal allows your digestive system to rest and re-set itself properly.

5. The Quickie Breakfast

If you are on the hop and need to get out for work quickly then why not try an apple smeared with almond butter accompanied by a bowl of mixed nuts and raisins. Any fruit is good so just use what’s available.
